I grew up in Gisborne and completed my nursing training at Waikato Hospital. After graduating, I spent time living and working in the United Kingdom and Africa. I then decided to move back to New Zealand and was based in Auckland.
In 1993, I moved to Gisborne and have been involved with Hospice Tairawhiti ever since. At first, I night nursed in people’s homes, but since 2001 I have worked as a palliative care nurse.
