Counsellor

Nicola Carroll

Nicola Carroll

I was born in Gisborne and I have left many times to study and travel. However, it seems that Gisborne is part of me as I always come back.

I have had the pleasure of being part of the Hospice Tairawhiti team on and off since 2002 in a family support role.

I work alongside individuals, families/whanau and groups, meeting people in their homes, in the hospital or wherever they feel comfortable. I am involved with counselling conversations which offer people time, space, companionship and the opportunity to talk about any aspect of their experience.

I was born in Gisborne and I have left many times to study and travel. However, it seems that Gisborne is part of me as I always come back. I have two children and in my spare time, I love visiting friends, reading and cooking.

I have completed a Masters of Counselling degree through the University of Waikato. I am a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and I practice according to the NZAC Code of Ethics.
